not just another fast-paced car ad

That was our goal. The sports car category is full of the same ol’ expected quick edits and camera angles that have little to do with the cars themselves. When Porsche asked for a spot to promote their Porsche Experience Center in LA, we wanted to first focus on the amazing driving course that their customers actually get to rip Porsches around on, and second celebrate the impressively smooth precision driving that the Porsche brand stands for.

AMP UP THE AWARENESS

To generate awareness and advocacy for the Porsche LA Experience Center, we knew we needed to excite the online Porsche enthusiast community to not just enjoy, but also engage and share our creative execution on their own social channels.

Many had yet to hear about the facility in LA and it was tempting for our clients to run a spot that literally touted the many offerings of the driving experiences. Instead, we pushed them to showcase the precision driving track instead of talking about it, and give Porsche fans everywhere the anticipation and desire to experience driving it themselves. To further empower sharing of the spot among the Porsche community we ended the spots with a simple end card celebrating the experience center’s birthday vs a more hard hitting sales message. Because who wants to share a blatant ad.

THE ANNIVERSARY

Oh and guess what, the 1st year anniversary of the Experience Center was in 19 days. As in…19 days. In a wild demonstration of what modern full-service creative is capable of, we went from client brief to final delivery for this project in 19 days- including concepting, production planning, editorial, and post.

RESULTS

Over 18 Million video views to date. 28 Million impressions. 3K Positive press mentions. 2 National Addy Awards (2018), Gold for Cinematography and Silver for Art Direction. Sold out anniversary event at LA’s Porsche experience center and dramatic increase in track reservations.

VERSIONING AND Extensions

Maximizing production efficiency for the Porsche team, we created a variety of edits, cut downs, and behind the scenes content to support targeted paid media efforts. My favorite is this :30 that ends with a cake smash.
